Laura Zee Work With Non Profits

Local Nonprofits

Community connection is at the heart of all of Laura’s work. Her background in refugee resettlement and intergenerational programming continues to inform her work in theatre. She was a program manager at The Old Globe arts engagement department for five years, where she managed and innovated programming to collaborate with diverse local communities, including unsheltered, incarcerated, veteran, elderly, LGBTQ+, refugee, active military, and Tijuana communities. Previously, she worked at the International Rescue Committee refugee resettlement agency in San Diego, implementing youth and family programming to help provide basic needs, educational opportunities, and fun engagement with the city and community. She taught public-speaking, storytelling, and self-advocacy skills to refugee youth.
